Need a household cylinder but are being directed to a reseller? Inspections found that some gas intended for residents entered illegal trade. Here is how to apply and where to report a problem.

What inspections found
Hududgazta’minot reported 1,217 violations and 471 illegal storage and sales sites closed during 2025 and the first nine months of 2026. It said the illegal sale of 17,301 household cylinders and 193.6 tonnes of LPG had been prevented, with a combined estimated value of about 10.7 billion soums.
Separately, the Energy Ministry reported over 120 cases in raids on 19–21 October 2026; more than 3,000 cylinders and 13,636 kg of LPG were seized as evidence. Gas supply employees were implicated in 39 cases. The two sets of figures cover different periods and should not be added together.
How to apply
People living in areas without a natural gas connection can apply through a Public Services Centre or my.gov.uz. Following checks and a positive decision, agreements cover temporary use of a cylinder and gas supply. One cylinder is delivered free within the prescribed period; this does not mean the gas itself is free.
Problems with delivery or charges
Ask the official supplier about the applicable payment arrangement. Record the date and circumstances, keep relevant documents, and contact 1104 or +998 71 202-11-04. Illegal sales can also be reported to 1520. Ask for your complaint to be registered and keep its reference number.
Safety
Do not use damaged equipment or keep cylinders close to heat. If you smell gas, close the valve if safe, open windows, avoid flames and electrical switches, leave the area and call 104 from a safe place.
