UZS 1 million winter support is due in November. Could your family qualify?

One-off winter assistance is now covered by an adopted decree. Selected families in need are to receive UZS 1 000 000 in November 2026 for the 2026/2027 heating season. Families outside the Social Register can also be considered through an additional selection process. 

What changed since the draft?

Decree PF-236 was adopted on 28 October and entered into force on 30 October 2026. Published explanations place the payment in November. A family’s individual selection and transfer date must be checked separately; the programme does not mean everyone has already been paid.

Who is covered?

Families on the Social Register; qualifying families outside it following a mahalla committee assessment; people on the relevant register of older people living alone and people with disabilities requiring care; and households with orphans or children without parental care.

Not on the register?

Ask your mahalla social worker or an Inson centre to check whether your family can be considered for the additional list. Explain household composition, income and housing conditions. A recommendation requires verification; lacking gas supply alone does not guarantee payment.

Income criteria

The latest explanations use minimum consumer expenditure (MCE), not the minimum wage. A limit of 2 MCE per person is stated for certain families outside the register. For households in apartment buildings with central heating, the published limits are 2 MCE in Karakalpakstan and the regions and 3 MCE in Tashkent. Certain higher-income families in need may be considered by a district or city committee decision. Ask Inson which category and income calculation apply.

How to check your family

Ask whether you are on the list for this specific one-off payment. If not, request an assessment of grounds for additional selection. Ask what records are needed, retain a case number and obtain an explanation of the outcome. Share personal documents only through official channels.

Separate from monthly compensation

The million-sum payment is one-off seasonal assistance. Gas and electricity compensation is a separate scheme. Receiving one does not automatically confirm entitlement to the other.
