Stabilizer laterum ESS TSD-20 KVA 100V-250V
ESS TSD-20 kVA wall-mounted servo voltage stabilizer
⚡ The ESS TSD-20 kVA is a single-phase voltage stabilizer designed for centralised protection of residential, office and commercial electrical equipment where the mains supply is unstable.
It accepts an input voltage from 100 to 250 V and automatically adjusts it to a suitable operating level. This is useful in areas where voltage drops during peak periods or rises and falls as powerful equipment switches on and off.
⚙️ Smooth servo regulation
The stabilizer uses a variable autotransformer and servo-driven current-collecting contact. Its controller monitors the mains supply while the motor moves the contact along the transformer winding.
Unlike relay stabilizers, regulation is smooth rather than stepped. Schetchik.uz specifies a regulation accuracy of 2%.
🔌 Understanding the 20 kVA rating
The product name specifies an apparent power rating of 20 kVA, while the seller’s specifications list 20 kW. Actual permissible load depends on the power factor of connected equipment and the input voltage.
At very low input voltage, the stabilizer draws more current and its available output capacity may decrease. Continuous operation at maximum rating is not recommended.
- allow at least 20–30% reserve for ordinary loads;
- consider starting current for air conditioners, refrigerators and pumps;
- allow additional reserve for compressors and electric motors;
- add only the loads that may operate simultaneously;
- check the permissible current of the incoming cable and circuit breaker.
🔄 Built-in bypass
The unit includes a bypass, allowing the supply to feed the load without passing through the regulation mechanism during servicing or diagnostics.
The bypass must be operated strictly in accordance with the product manual.
🏠 Wall-mounted installation
The enclosure is designed for wall mounting. This saves floor space and helps protect the stabilizer from accidental impacts, access by children and moisture during cleaning.
It must be fixed to a structurally suitable wall, with sufficient clearance for ventilation, wiring and maintenance.
🛡️ IP20 protection
The IP20 rating provides protection against access to hazardous parts and larger solid objects. It does not provide water protection.
The stabilizer must be installed indoors in a dry area, away from pipes, taps, condensation and other moisture sources.
✅ Key advantages
- Wide 100–250 V input range;
- 20 kVA rated capacity;
- single-phase operation;
- smooth servo-driven regulation;
- stated regulation accuracy of 2%;
- built-in bypass;
- wall-mounted design;
- protective grounding;
- centralised supply for multiple appliances;
- 12-month warranty.
🔌 Suitable equipment
- refrigerators and freezers;
- televisions and audio equipment;
- computers, servers and office equipment;
- heating boilers;
- lighting systems;
- retail and cash-register equipment;
- air conditioners with starting current considered;
- pumps after calculating starting power;
- multiple consumer groups connected through a distribution board.
⚠️ Servo-technology considerations
Servo stabilizers regulate voltage smoothly but normally respond more slowly than relay or electronic types. Their suitability should be assessed where voltage changes are extremely rapid and frequent.
The moving current-collecting contact may require periodic inspection and cleaning. The stabilizer should be protected from dust and moisture.
🔧 Installation requirements
- installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician;
- cable size must be selected for the maximum calculated current;
- a suitable circuit breaker must be installed upstream;
- protective grounding is mandatory;
- ventilation openings must remain unobstructed;
- do not install in a damp or heavily contaminated room;
- the wall and fixings must support the stabilizer’s weight;
- test input voltage, output voltage and bypass operation after installation.
⚠️ Confirm before ordering
