From 1 November: 500 m³ at the base gas rate. What does it cost?

The same 500 m³ of gas can cost less in November than in October. The reason is a seasonal base allowance, not a lower price per cubic metre.

Under the standard calendar, the allowance is 500 m³ in November–February and 100 m³ in March–October. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, it is 500 m³ in October–February and 100 m³ in March–September. The Ministry of Energy may adjust the dates in agreement with the Cabinet of Ministers, depending on weather conditions.

Price per cubic metre

The VAT-inclusive rates below apply from 1 June 2026. Each portion of monthly consumption is charged at its own tier. The base allowance is not free gas.

Same consumption: 500 m³

October: 100 × 1,100 + 400 × 2,000 = UZS 910,000. November: 500 × 1,100 = UZS 550,000. Difference: UZS 360,000 for the same consumption.

October: 100 × 1,100 + 400 × 2,000 = UZS 910,000. November: 500 × 1,100 = UZS 550,000. Difference: UZS 360,000 for the same consumption. This comparison applies to regions whose winter allowance begins in November, under the standard calendar. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, 500 m³ costs UZS 550,000 in both October and November: there is no seasonal price difference between those months.

These are consumption costs only, excluding outstanding debt, advance payments, compensation and billing adjustments. The actual amount due depends on the account balance. If winter consumption increases, the total cost may not fall.

What if you use 600 m³?

During the heating season: 500 × 1,100 + 100 × 2,000 = UZS 750,000. The first 500 m³ are not repriced at the higher rate.

How to check the calculation

  1. Compare meter readings at the start and end of the billing month.
  2. Check the region, month and applicable season.
  3. Split usage into the tariff tiers and add their costs.
  4. Check consumption charges separately from debt, payments and adjustments.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Select a question to see the answer ↓

Are the first 500 m³ free?

No. Gas within the base allowance costs UZS 1,100 per m³.

Does the rate fall on 1 November?

In this example, the first tier expands from 100 to 500 m³. Its unit price remains UZS 1,100.

Does the higher rate apply to all usage?

No. At 600 m³ in winter, the first 500 cost UZS 1,100 per m³ and the next 100 cost UZS 2,000 per m³.

Why is the comparison different for Karakalpakstan and Khorezm?

Their winter allowance starts in October under the standard calendar. The same 500 m³ therefore costs the same in both months.

Does this calculation apply without a meter?

No. Unmetered households have separate rates and calculation rules.

Will my payment app show exactly this amount?

Not necessarily. These are consumption charges; your account may include other adjustments and previous payments.

When does the winter allowance end?

Under the standard calendar, it runs through February. It starts in November in most regions and in October in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm. The dates may be adjusted for weather conditions.

How should I compare costs over several months?

Calculate each month separately using its allowance and tiers, then add the costs. Do not combine all consumption into a single hypothetical month.

If I use less than 500 m³, must I still pay for 500?

No. In this metered example, you pay for recorded consumption. For example, 300 m³ in the heating season costs 300 × 1,100 = UZS 330,000.
