Установка стандартная на трубу Dn-50 (на металл)
Standard installation of equipment on a DN50 metal pipe
🔧 This service is intended for installing a DN50 water meter, flow meter, mesh filter, valve or other flanged equipment into an existing metal pipeline.
DN50 is a nominal pipeline diameter of approximately 50 mm. It does not always equal the exact outside diameter of the metal pipe. Before work begins, the specialist must check the actual pipe size, wall thickness, operating pressure, flange standard and installation length of the equipment.
✅ Included in standard installation
- inspection of the accessible pipeline section;
- confirmation of the installation location;
- verification of water-flow direction;
- checking the position of the installed equipment;
- marking of the metal pipe;
- preparation of a safe work area;
- cutting of the existing pipe;
- edge cleaning and metal preparation;
- fitting of pipe sections or connection components;
- welding of companion flanges or prepared pipe sections;
- installation of the DN50 equipment;
- installation of gaskets and fasteners;
- even tightening of the flanged joint;
- verification of flow direction;
- gradual filling of the pipeline with water;
- inspection of the joints for visible leakage;
- initial functional checking of the installed equipment.
Standard installation assumes unrestricted access to a sound metal pipe, the ability to isolate and drain the water completely and no requirement for complex construction, excavation, work-at-height or emergency repairs.

🔩 DN50 flanged connection
DN50 equipment is normally installed between two companion flanges. Before cutting and welding, the following must be checked:
- nominal diameter of the equipment;
- outside diameter of the existing pipe;
- PN pressure rating;
- flange standard;
- outside diameter of the flanges;
- number and position of the bolt holes;
- bolt-hole diameter;
- type of sealing face;
- gasket material and thickness;
- fastener size and strength class;
- equipment installation length.
A DN50 match alone is not sufficient. The flanges must also match in PN rating, standard, bolt-hole arrangement and sealing-face design.
Schetchik.uz offers a DN50 RU16 steel flange and a DN50 PN10 flange. Selection depends on the equipment passport and pipeline design.
📏 Installation length
Installation length is the distance between the connection faces of the installed instrument. Before cutting the pipe section, the following are considered:
- body length of the meter or flow meter;
- thickness of both gaskets;
- flange dimensions;
- weld dimensions;
- clearance required for removal;
- ability to remove the equipment later;
- thermal expansion of the pipeline.
An incorrect installation-length calculation may cause flange misalignment, pipeline tension, mechanical load on the instrument housing and leakage.
🧱 Requirements for the existing metal pipe
Standard installation can be performed when the pipe:
- has no through-wall corrosion;
- retains sufficient wall thickness;
- has no cracks or severe deformation;
- is securely supported;
- is not under excessive mechanical stress;
- is accessible for cutting and welding;
- can be completely depressurised;
- can be drained and dried in the welding area.
If severe corrosion, cracks or insufficient wall thickness are discovered after cutting, work is temporarily stopped. Repair or replacement of the pipe section is quoted separately.
🧭 Equipment orientation and position
The arrow on the meter, filter or valve housing must point in the actual direction of water flow.
For water-meter installation, the following must also be checked:
- permitted horizontal or vertical position;
- required straight pipe sections upstream and downstream;
- complete filling of the measuring section with water;
- absence of permanent air accumulation;
- access to the display;
- visibility of the serial number;
- access for servicing, verification and removal.
Straight-pipe and mounting-position requirements are determined by the passport of the specific instrument, not by the DN50 size alone.
🛡️ Filter and shut-off valves
A mesh filter is recommended upstream of a mechanical or electronic water meter. It captures:
- sand;
- rust;
- pipe scale;
- particles from the existing pipeline;
- welding debris;
- residue from sealing materials.
Schetchik.uz offers a DN50 PN16 flanged mesh filter with a magnet. Compatibility must be checked against operating pressure, temperature and project requirements.
A complete DN50 metering assembly may include:
- an upstream ball valve or gate valve;
- a DN50 mesh filter;
- a straight pipe section;
- a water meter or flow meter;
- a check valve;
- a downstream isolation valve;
- a pressure gauge;
- a drain or test valve;
- a bypass only when permitted by the design and water utility.
🏗️ Supports and load on the equipment
The meter, filter or valve must not carry the weight of the pipeline. Both the pipe and installed equipment must have secure supports.
Additional supports may be required when:
- the pipe is sagging;
- the pipe may move after a section is removed;
- the equipment is relatively heavy;
- a pump is located nearby;
- vibration is transmitted to the pipeline;
- existing supports are damaged or absent.
Fabrication of frames, stands, brackets and concrete foundations is not included in the standard price.
🔥 Welding safety
Cutting and welding are performed only after:
- the pipeline has been fully isolated;
- all pressure has been released;
- water or another working medium has been drained;
- the medium has been confirmed safe;
- the work area has been dried;
- combustible materials have been removed;
- adequate ventilation has been provided;
- fire-safety equipment has been prepared.
Cutting or welding a pressurised pipe, or a pipe containing an unknown, flammable, explosive or chemically hazardous medium, is prohibited.
💧 Inspection after installation
- The welds are visually inspected.
- Flange alignment is checked.
- Gasket position is checked.
- Bolts are tightened evenly in a cross pattern.
- Flow direction is verified.
- The pipeline is gradually filled with water.
- Air is vented when required.
- Welded and flanged joints are inspected.
- The absence of visible leakage is checked.
- The installed equipment is functionally checked.
A visual inspection under normal operating fill conditions does not replace a formal hydraulic pressure test when required by the project or customer.
⚠️ When installation is non-standard
- work inside an underground pit or chamber;
- confined or poorly ventilated space;
- work at height;
- inability to shut off the water completely;
- emergency pipeline condition;
- severe corrosion;
- mismatched diameters;
- incompatible flange standards;
- fabrication of reducers;
- pipeline rerouting;
- removal of existing equipment;
- removal of seized fasteners;
- fabrication of a bypass;
- construction of additional supports;
- night-time, urgent or emergency work;
- installation at an operating hazardous facility.
Non-standard work is quoted separately after a technical inspection.
