SWEM data-transmission modem for water meters

📡 The SWEM modem is designed to automatically transmit readings from compatible SWEM and UzMeter water meters to a remote-metering system.

It collects data from one meter and transmits it over a GSM/GPRS mobile network.

📲 Operating principle

• the meter measures water consumption;
• data reaches the modem through RS-485, RS-232 or a pulse cable;
• the modem processes the readings;
• an installed SIM card connects to the GSM/GPRS network;
• data is sent to a compatible server or monitoring platform.

One modem transmits data from one metering device.

🔋 Integrated battery

The modem operates from an integrated battery. The stated service period is up to two years, depending on reporting frequency, cellular signal strength, temperature and configuration.

📱 SIM card

The SIM card is not included and must be purchased separately.

Operation requires a suitable mobile-data plan, APN settings and compatible server parameters.

🌡️ Operating temperature

The stated operating-temperature range is −10 to +45 °C.

The modem should be protected from water, condensation, excessive heat, low temperatures, dust and mechanical impact.
