📊 Water, Gas and Electricity Meters at Schetchik.uz
This category contains water, natural gas and electricity metering devices for apartments, private houses, shops, offices, industrial facilities, boiler houses and other sites. You can choose anything from a simple mechanical meter for internal monitoring to a modern electronic model with automatic reading transmission.
A correctly selected meter helps monitor actual resource consumption, detect excessive use in time and pay for water, gas or electricity according to measured readings. For official commercial metering, the device must meet the requirements of the servicing organisation and have the necessary documentation.
🔎 Main types of meters
- 💧 Water meters for measuring cold and hot water in apartments, private houses, yards, commercial and industrial facilities;
- 🔥 Gas meters for apartments, houses, industrial facilities, boiler houses, CNG filling stations and other gas supply sites;
- ⚡ Electricity meters, including single-phase and three-phase models for residential, commercial and internal metering.
💧 Water meters
Water meters differ by connection diameter, water temperature, measurement principle, permitted flow rate and reading transmission method. Compact DN15 or DN20 models are commonly used in apartments, while private yards, businesses and main pipelines may require larger-diameter devices.
The catalogue includes:
- mechanical meters that measure flow using a rotating impeller or turbine;
- electronic and ultrasonic meters that measure flow electronically and often include a display and additional functions;
- pulse-output meters that generate electrical pulses which can be transmitted to an external metering device;
- meters with a modem that can transmit readings remotely through a supported communication system;
- cold-water and hot-water models designed for different operating temperatures;
- complete sets that may include a meter, modem, valve, connectors and other required components.
Important: a cold-water meter should not automatically be considered suitable for hot water. Check the permitted operating temperature of the specific model before purchasing.
🔥 Gas meters
Gas meters are selected according to maximum flow, meter size, connection diameter, operating pressure, installation location and the number of connected gas appliances. An apartment with a single gas cooker normally requires a lower-capacity meter than a house with a cooker, boiler and water heater.
Depending on the model, a gas meter may include:
- a modem and SIM card for reading transmission;
- a shut-off valve for remotely stopping the gas supply;
- installation connectors;
- temperature and pressure correction;
- interfaces for connection to an automated gas metering system.
The G size indicates the flow capacity of a gas meter. For example, G2.5, G4, G6 and G10 are designed for different consumption ranges. A model must not be selected by pipe diameter alone: the total consumption of all connected gas appliances must be considered.
⚡ Electricity meters
Electricity meters differ by the number of phases, rated voltage, maximum current, connection method, number of tariffs and remote data transmission capability.
- Single-phase meters are generally used in apartments, small houses, shops and offices with a 220 V supply;
- Three-phase meters are used in 380 V networks, industrial facilities, larger houses and sites with high-power equipment;
- Direct-connected meters are connected directly to the electrical network within their permitted current range;
- Transformer-connected meters operate through current transformers and are used for higher electrical loads;
- Multi-tariff models can measure consumption separately according to configured time-based tariffs;
- Online meters transmit data to a compatible automated metering system.
PLC is a technology that transmits data through existing electrical wiring. It normally requires a compatible data concentrator and a configured metering system. The presence of a PLC module does not mean that the meter independently sends data through the mobile internet.
📡 How do meters transmit readings?
Different communication methods may be used depending on the model:
- pulse output transmits a number of pulses corresponding to the measured volume or energy;
- M-Bus is a wired interface used to connect multiple meters to a common system;
- Wireless M-Bus transmits data wirelessly to a compatible receiver;
- RS-485 is an industrial wired data communication interface;
- PLC transmits data through power wiring;
- GSM, GPRS, NB-IoT or LoRaWAN transmit data through a supported wireless network.
The modem and metering system must be compatible. The presence of a radio module, SIM card or communication interface does not automatically guarantee that readings will be transmitted to a particular servicing organisation.
🔍 How should you select the right meter?
- Identify the resource. Determine whether you need a water, gas or electricity meter.
- Define the purpose. Official commercial metering, internal monitoring, apartment, private house or industrial facility.
- Check connection parameters. Pipe diameter, number of phases, voltage, current or maximum flow.
- Determine operating conditions. Temperature, pressure, humidity and indoor or outdoor installation.
- Select the data transmission method. Manual readings, pulse output, wired or wireless communication.
- Check documentation. Certificate, factory verification, product passport and servicing organisation requirements.
- Confirm the package contents. Connectors, gaskets, valve, modem, SIM card, fasteners and protective enclosure may be sold separately.
📐 What do DN, G, Q and R mean?
- DN or nominal diameter is the standard connection size. For example, DN20 indicates a connection with a nominal bore of 20 mm.
- G is the gas meter size associated with its flow capacity.
- Q indicates liquid or gas flow. For example, Q3 represents the permanent operating flow of a water meter.
- R is the ratio between the maximum and minimum measurement ranges. A higher R value allows a water meter to register lower flow, but the device should not be selected using this number alone.
Technical symbols are useful, but the more important question is: will the device suit the particular pipe, load and metering system? This is what should be checked before payment.
✅ Why buy meters from Schetchik.uz?
- A broad selection. Residential and industrial models for water, gas and electricity.
- Selection assistance. Devices can be compared by purpose, size, flow capacity and data transmission method.
- Current stock information. Product pages display the quantity available in the warehouse.
- Complete equipment selection. Connectors, valves, filters, modems and protective devices can be selected together with the meter.
- Installation services. Installation and connection can be ordered for selected devices.
- Delivery. Orders are delivered throughout Tashkent and other regions of Uzbekistan.
🧰 What additional items may be required?
Proper installation may require fittings, connectors and shut-off valves, filters, check valves, gaskets, communication cables, current transformers, modems, protective enclosures and sealing components.
When required, you can order equipment installation and connection services. Installation cost depends on the meter type, pipe diameter and material, electrical circuit, installation location and amount of preparatory work.
⚠️ Important information before purchase
Not every meter is suitable for official billing with a utility supplier. Requirements may vary depending on the type of site, region, servicing organisation and the automated metering system currently in use.
Before ordering, confirm the model, communication type, verification period and document package with the organisation that will accept the device for operation. A technical specification or project should preferably be prepared for an industrial facility.
Images on the website may be provided for reference. Markings, packaging, housing colour and individual package components may be changed by the manufacturer without altering the main specifications.
🚚 Ordering and delivery
An order can be placed directly through the Schetchik.uz website. Various payment methods, instalment options for eligible products and delivery throughout Tashkent and the regions of Uzbekistan are available.
📞 For advice, call +998 71 200-18-00. Tell the specialist which resource must be measured, where the device will be installed and which connection parameters are known. This will help identify a suitable model more quickly.
📊 A good meter does more than display numbers. It turns resource consumption from a guess into a precise and understandable result.
